Promotion Eligibility
- 8th grade students must earn a passing grade in at least nine of their twelve classes taken during the year
- If a student receives an unsatisfactory mark (“U”) in citizenship from two or more different teachers during fourth quarter, he/she will be excluded (6 accounts of Tardiness = “U”).
- A student must maintain acceptable behavior. Excessive truancies and suspensions from school may affect participation in promotion activities. The principal shall have the option of removing any student from participation in the ceremony because of unacceptable behavior either on campus, at a school activity, or in the community if the action is related directly to a school situation.
- Administrative transfers and any involvement related to drugs, alcohol, graffiti, violent behavior, or weapons may exclude a student from the Promotion Ceremony and end of the year activities.
- Students must participate in Portfolio Day.

Promotion Ceremony
- Ceremony begins at 9AM.
- 8th grade students report to gymnasium at 8:10AM, please refer to published dress code.
- Gates open for public seating 8:30AM. First come, first served.
- Parking is limited, please be courteous of our neighbors driveways. Front Parking lot reserved for handicapped placards, side parking lot reserved for staff and dignitaries. Thank you for understanding.
